What does an approved supplier provide for a vendor-listed project?

Approval puts a supplier on the list, and documents move an order through review. For each vendor-listed project we prepare the submittals your reviewer expects:

  • datasheets for the panel, capacitors, reactors, contactors and controller;
  • single-line diagram, general arrangement and wiring drawings for approval;
  • a compliance statement against the project specification, with any proposed alternatives;
  • an inspection and test plan, and the factory acceptance test record; and
  • as-built drawings, manuals and a recommended spares list at handover.

We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components, and the component brands follow the approved vendor list of the project.

Why use an Aramco approved power factor correction supplier?

Each owner publishes its own requirements, and your purchase order names the standards that apply. We read them first, then confirm the design against them before we cut metal. Aramco work follows the project's engineering standards and review path, SABIC and Royal Commission work follows theirs, and the specification you send us decides the details. See our APFC panel page for the standard scope, and PFC panel design and sizing for how we size the correction before submittals start.

How does a vendor-listed order run?

  1. Enquiry. You send the specification, datasheet requirements and the approved vendor list.
  2. Compliance review. We compare the specification with our design and issue a compliance statement.
  3. Submittals. We submit datasheets, drawings and the inspection and test plan for approval.
  4. Build. After approval the panel is assembled in our Dammam workshops.
  5. Inspection and test. We perform the factory acceptance test, with witnessing if your project requires it.
  6. Delivery. The panel is packed and delivered with the test record and release documents.
  7. Commissioning and handover. We commission the panel and hand over the as-built package.

Who needs an approved supplier?

Oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants, utilities, industrial cities and EPC contractors working for these owners often must buy from approved suppliers. Read the notes for oil and gas facilities if your site is one of them. We deliver to every region of Saudi Arabia.

Approved supplier questions

Who is an Aramco approved power factor correction supplier in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Power Factor Company provides power factor correction as an Aramco approved supplier, and is also approved by SABIC and the Royal Commission. We have worked on projects for all three since 2010.

Are you approved by SABIC and the Royal Commission?

Yes. We are approved by SABIC and by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and we have worked on projects for both. Send your project's vendor requirements and the proposal states how we meet them.

What affects the cost of a vendor-listed supply?

Cost depends on kvar and steps, the brand list, enclosure and IP rating, the inspection and test plan, witnessed testing and the size of the documentation package. Send your specification and the proposal lists each requirement as a separate item.

How long does a vendor-listed order take?

Lead time depends on the kvar, the approval path for drawings, the availability of named brands and witnessed testing. Our typical lead time is 2–3 weeks for an APFC panel and 3–4 weeks for a detuned bank. Quick submittal approval from your side shortens the schedule most.

Which ISO certificates do you hold?

Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environment, and ISO 45001 for health and safety. We share copies of the certificates with the proposal on request, so your vendor-registration team can check them.
